50 Ways To Leave Discover

I suppose you could say I am behind on some things, but I had some recent discoveries.  This should get you all up to date on what is going on in Kurt Land.

I discovered Hulu.com, which allows you (and me!) to watch television shows online.  From this, I have been watching 30 Rock, which is very funny!  Also ALL the episodes of Arrested Development are on there, but I discovered that show when it was on.

I went to a pot luck “Food Fight” and won that effer!  The top prize was an apron, and I wore it all the way home.  I brought my vegetarian lasagna and chocolate chip-stuffed cookies, which were deemed “crack cookies” by the hostess, who found them very addictive.  It was there that I discovered Saki – the Japanese wine – and some kind of weird food that was ground-up parsley with other stuff in it.  Also some kind of pumpkin pasta.  Someone there told me about Pandora.com.  That’s where you put in a band or song you like, and it will play music that is similar.  I tried it and didn’t like it because it played John Mayer to match my Barenaked Ladies entry.

I discovered Chocolate Rain, the viral video from 2007.  Saw it for the first time last week.  I like the song.  I can’t help myself.  Maybe I’ll plug that into Pandora and see what happens.

On the highest level of Barnes and Nobles yesterday, I discovered what seems to be an awesome little book series called 33 1/3.  Each pocket-sized book focuses on a classic album.  One of them was the Beastie Boy’s Paul’s Boutique, which is one of my all time favorites.

I have been lax about working on my online shorts, so I will get on that.  I have been coming up with some bizarre ideas for a new show.  I’m planning the tour.  Stay tuned.
